Beauchemin now joins a back end that includes Mike Komisarek and Garnet Exelby who wear signed and traded for respectively on July 1st. This could signal the end of the line for Tomas Kaberle as a Leaf as the team now have at least eight NHL calibre defensemen on their roster at the moment in Kaberle, Beauchemin, Komisarek, Exelby, White, Schenn, Finger and Van Ryn with Frogren and Stralman waiting in the wings. The Leafs also signed first round pick Nazem Kadri along with Ben Ondrus, Ryan Hamilton, Jay Rosehill and Richard Greenop today in what was a busy day down in Leafland.
